HOW TO GET A RUSSIAN VISA?
The first question for a man who has never done it before (to invite foreigners to Russia for business whether negotiating, cooperation, the organization of an international conference, etc.) is always the same.
Where to start? Where to turn? What documents are needed?

Please check the expiry date of your passport. It must be valid for the period of your visa validity + 6 months after.
If extension is on the different page, please, send it as well. It also concerns to other additional information: change of surname, children etc.
These documents should be sent to us on-line or to our e-mail VISA@VISA-RUS.COM.
As soon as our manager receives your request, you will be informing about exact processing time, extra documents (if needed), terms of payment & etc.
Please note: in the questionnaire you should clarify the type of visa invitation, which depending on nationality of the client.
For example, a simplified procedure for obtaining a business visa by letter-invitation from Russian company is adopted for the majority of EU citizens (please check the list with our manager by e-mail VISA@VISA-RUS.COM). It takes only 30 min for processing the urgent request. Usually the Russian Consulate requires the original of letter-invitation. Please check with a Russian Consular Department in your country. If so, we can arrange UPS or DHL post to your address (additional fee). After receiving a letter-invitation you can apply for a visa. Note! In most of the cases, a specific medical traveler insuarance to Russia is required. To order an insuarance policy you can visit the page “INSUARANCE” on our web-site.
One of the requirements for obtaining a multiple visa by a letter-invitation is the availability of a previous right-used Russian business visa.
Second type of invitation - electronic invitation (telex) is very popular with business people because of its ‘special status’. Telex is provided eigher by the Migration Service or the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and sent right to the Russian Consulate in the city where you want to get a visa. It includes all necessary information about your trip, so you do not need to have any original paper from Russia for obtain a visa. The day your data is turned over to Migration Service, we will inform you about a date when it will be in the Consulate. Processing time for single and double visas is 15-16 calendar days, for multi – 21-23 days.
If you are not in a hurry, there is one more type of invitation – original or a paper invitation form issued by the Federal Migration Service Directorate. (People often call it a “brown paper”). The processing time is the same and it is a little cheaper in comparison with the price of paper invitation form, but this invitation has to be present to the Consulate in original. So the total amount can be increased by additional courier service fee.
Due to economic, political and regional factors, the attitude of the Migration Service is not always the same towards to the citizens of different countries. In popular lexicon there is a concept of countries of migration risk. For these people the package of documents for obtaining of a Russian visa may include a lot of additional documents such as a certificates from the place of employment, a letter stating the purpose of travel, a guarantee letter from a business partners etc. Please note that the price for the citizens of such countries is approximate and the final decision is to be taken after considering all the required documents.
